Love Allen Chijioke Ahakonye

Senior Researcher at Kumoh National Institute of Technology

"The most rewarding part of mentoring in Machine Learning is empowering emerging researchers, especially women, to excel in data-driven technologies. It fosters expertise, critical thinking, and continuous learning while challenging gender barriers. Seeing mentees grow into independent innovators tackling real-world problems and contributing to an inclusive, diverse AI research community is deeply fulfilling."

Dr. Love Allen Chijioke Ahakonye is a Research Fellow at the ICT-Convergence Research Center, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, South Korea. Her research lies at the nexus of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things (IoT), with emphasis on securing critical infrastructures such as SCADA. She develops AI-driven intrusion and anomaly detection frameworks for IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT) networks, integrating cutting edge technologies like Blockchain. Her recent work extends to Explainable AI (XAI), focusing on model interpretability in intrusion detection systems. With over 70 publications and 8,000+ citations, Dr. Ahakonye significantly advances secure, reliable, and interpretable AI for intelligent networked systems.
