Clarissa Guevara Gomez

Clarissa Guevara Gómez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s in Public Policy from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She is also part of the fifth cohort in Strategic Political Communication at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). She has participated as part of the Mexican Delegation at the 63rd Commission on the Status of Women (CSW-63) of the United Nations and at the XIV Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean.

She is a researcher within the <A+> Alliance’s f<a+i>r Feminist AI Research Network, where she focuses on gender-sensitive data, femicide prevention strategies, and feminist approaches to artificial intelligence. She previously served as National Officer on Security and Justice and National Officer on Gender and Police Institutions at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), supporting institutional strengthening processes with a human rights and gender perspective.

Currently, she is a Professor in the Department of Law at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she teaches courses on gender, justice, and public policy, and she also lectures in the graduate programs in Victimology and Security with a specialization in Crime Prevention at the University of Citizen Security of Nuevo León.
She has served as a Mentor in the STEM Olympiads organized by the Institute of Nuclear Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), supporting young women and gender-diverse participants in developing scientific and technological trajectories grounded in social justice and community-centered learning.

She was a speaker at the First International Congress of the Center for Critical Studies on Gender and Feminisms at Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico City): Critical Perspectives on Gender in Contexts of Artificial Intelligence, offering reflections on data ethics and feminist technopolitics.

She also participated in the Encontro da Rede Latino-Americana de Inteligência Artificial Feminista – Confluências Tecnofeministas para Futuros Possíveis at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), contributing to regional collaborative efforts for situated, community-centered, and justice-oriented approaches to artificial intelligence.
